Making an offer

For the first time today, we made an offer on a house! We'll hear something within 24 hours. Woohoo!
As of today -- between trips with our Realtor and open houses -- we've physically toured 20 houses. We've really liked 5 of them, but the one we WERE going to put an offer on apparently already had an offer on the table and we didn't want a bidding war. That was disappointing. But everyone I've talked to and everything I've read said, "don't worry, there will always be another house. Probably an even better one." So we took that to heart. This was Monday.
Today, after viewing three houses, we narrowed it to two, then one! Wish us luck, 'cause this one would be pretty nice!
