Happy post-holidays!

It's now 2008 and, ok, I fell off the blogwagon there for a few weeks.
To update you: Brian and I spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day morning in Deadwood with my parents. I helped Brian make his first snowman since he was a little kid. It turned out to be an odd-shaped almost-evil looking "Ice Age" sloth-type character -- that is until he gave it rabbit ears. So I applaud the artist's creativity, even if the neighbors were left to wonder what kid was inspired by "Calvin and Hobbes" snow scenes.

We had to work Christmas Day. (Such is the price for working in news -- a field you love.) But it was quiet at work with no meetings, so we didn't mind.

For New Year's Eve, again, we worked. But we did get home at about 11:40, so we had time to break out the bubbly and toast 2008.

As far as resolutions go, Brian and I made a few. But instead of openly stating what they are, we wrote them down and put them in a safe place. On Dec. 31, 2008, we'll pull them out and see how we did. So there will be some accountability. Of course, he'll know what each of mine are when he sees a shift in how often I start doing some things and start trying to cut out others.
Even though we haven't specifically told each other our resolutions, I have a strong feeling at least two or three of each of ours are the same. Already, I can just tell.

Happy New Year!
