We had been talking for months about needing a better winter vehicle and one that can accommodate three people instead of just two, like our Chevy S-10 pickup could handle. So 4-wheel drive, enough room for car seat in the back and enough room to haul strollers and suitcases were our criteria.
We didn't expect to actually buy a car today, but we found a deal on one we just couldn't pass up. The price was low enough we could pay cash for it and it had every feature we wanted and many we didn't know we wanted.
So, I'm happy to say we have a new family-friendly vehicle that will get us around after most reasonable snow storms, and we came home debt free. (Well, minus the mortgage. But I just consider that is like rent. That will have to be paid every month whether we own a house or not)
