Big boys and books

My baby is growing fast. He can reach for toys now, and loves his plastic books. He has three titled "Ba Ba," "Da Da" and "Ma Ma." He'll sit forever holding them with both hands trying to figure out how to open them. I have a photo of him sleeping in his car seat with his hands still grasping the "Ba Ba" book.

Also, today as I was dropping him off at day care, he stared and smiled at one of the teachers until she said "Hi, Luke!" Then she reached her hands toward him, and he lifted his arms toward her and smiled.
Part of me thought: "Little traitor! So happy to leave me!"
But more so, I was comforted in the fact that he was happy to go to her and not scared or fussy about it. Gives me a good feeling that he's having fun and is being well taken care of.

My little guy is growing up already. *Sniff sniff*

Now that you're such a big boy, Luke, we'll have a little lesson that big boys sleep for more than 3 hours at a time.
