Read carefully

We got some pre-closing mortgage paperwork from the bank Friday that said everything we expected it to say, except if gave a closing date of March 16. (that's a Sunday.) We had on our real estate paperwork March 18 (Tuesday) as our closing date.
Because I'm pretty sure the bank wouldn't have people working on a Sunday just for us, we checked with the broker guy, and yup, that was a mistake.
Had we not seen that, would everyone have shown up on Sunday? Probably not.
But I'm glad we don't have to find out (which would undoubtedly include paying interest for that Fri-Mon until our real closing date).
My two cents worth of advice: In a process like this, read everything carefully.
