Bouncing baby boy

My 9-month-old is the epitome of the term "bouncing baby boy." His favorite thing to do, since he was born really, is move around. He's not ever been a big fan of the sitting thing.

Case in point:
-- His favorite toy is the jumperoo, which lets him jump and turn around and play with toys while he stands and jumps. At day care, they say they have to persuade him to play on the floor with toys, because he'd rather be jumping or standing in the exersaucer (in which he can turn around and play with toys.)

-- His favorite thing to be doing when in your arms is jump or bounce. You have to hold on tight or he jumps out of your arms or lets his legs collapse beneath him, requiring you to "help" him jump.

-- He loves the "This is the way the cowboys ride" game, bouncing on your knee, and he knows to expect a faster bounce at the end. You can see it in his grin that grows progressively through the verses, until he erupts in laughter by the time he's riding "like the cowboys" as you bounce him vigorously (for a baby).

-- When you pick him up, he starts bouncing and bobbing his head up and down and forward trying to make you "go."

-- He does the same thing in shopping carts and strollers and when we put him on his stomach, encouraging him to crawl. He thinks if he bobs his head furiously, he will "go."

-- And lastly, after a few-month break from rolling, the baby is a rollin' fool. Put him on his stomach, and he rolls to his back, smiles, rolls to his stomach, bobs his head a few times to see if that "works" yet, then he rolls to his back again.

He may not be crawling or walking yet, but this kid is on the move.
